Authorities say two people are dead after a tractor trailer crash in western Pennsylvania. The accident happened Saturday on Interstate 70 in Washington County.

State police say the driver of the tractor trailer lost control of the vehicle on westbound I-70. The rig crossed the median, flipped over and skidded into eastbound traffic. Investigators say the tractor trailer crushed a car, killing two people inside.

Moments later, an SUV traveling westbound slammed into the rig. Troopers say two people inside the SUV were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Police say the tractor trailer driver, a 44-year-old California man is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide.
