A jury has found a Belmont County commissioner and his son guilty on one of three misdemeanor counts.

Our news partner WTOV9.Com reports the verdict for Belmont County Commissioner Matt Coffland and his son Matthew Coffland came down Tuesday evening.  The trial started early Tuesday in Belmont County's Eastern Division Court in Bellaire.

Court officials agreed to proceed with just six jurors after several were dismissed.

Both Cofflands were facing three misdemeanor charges of obstructing justice following an incident at the Tiger Pub in Shadyside last April.

The commissioner was acquitted in October of assaulting a peace officer during incidents at last year's Jamboree In The Hills.
