During Thursday’s testimony police and witnesses from phone service providers testified about cell phones collected as evidence in the case against two Steubenville High School football players accused of raping a 16-year-old West Virginia girl.
The testimony focused on how phones belonging to the defendants and others were gathered by investigators. Prosecutors and defense attorneys earlier had focused on the girl's level of intoxication and whether she consented to sex.
The two teen defendants’ maintain their innocence.
Visiting Judge Thomas Lipps is hearing the case without a jury.
