AEP Ohio crews and external support personnel continued work over the weekend to restore service to customers who remained without power following last week’s severe weather outbreak.
Officials say damaging winds, heavy rain and substantial lightning swept across the state causing approximately 152,000 customers to lose power statewide and locally at the peak of the storm.
On Saturday AEP had restored about 95 percent of customers. The remaining outages were concentrated mostly in the
AEP expected any remaining customers without service in those areas to be 100 percent restored by this morning.
