First of all, if you don’t know who I am let me explain it to you. I am the sucker they got to come in at midnights. It sounded like a really good idea at the time, trust me.
Now I am sure you want to know more about me because I am The Dude after all. I was born and raised in Wheeling, but as with most of the people in the valley I would tell people who aren’t from the area that I am really close to Pittsburgh. It’s just easier that way.
As far as my education is concerned I went to Wheeling Park High School. My original career path was going to be auto body, but then I needed an art credit to graduate. That’s how I caught the radio bug.
I decided to stick with the radio thing after high school so my next move was to head to West Liberty State College. I started in the communications program, but would eventually end up in the DMD program. I found my way into their radio station within weeks of being on campus. I was actually working for their station my 3rd week on campus till the end of my college career. I did most of the different jobs they had: production manager, music director, and eventually station manager. I changed majors when the college introduced a new program called Digital Media Design. It’s basically half communications and half graphic design. I was a part of the first graduating class from West Liberty University.
When I am not in the studio I am usually being pretty lazy at the house. PlayStation and watching a lot of TV takes up most of my day. I am a big Penguins fan so I watch most of the games at sports bars or a friend’s house.
If its concert season I like to hit up the warped tour, mayhem festival, plus anything else that might be cool to see. My favorite concerts have been Rush and 2008 Mayhem Festival.
Oh and remember: That rug really tied the room together.

Last weekend was the start of the 2012 season. I found myself heading to Nationwide Arena for my first set of shows for 2012. Took in 3 great shows, made a few new friends, and caught up with some old track officials and drivers I haven’t seen all year long. Special thanks to my good friend and Grave Digger driver Carl Van Horn and his crew guys for this hospitality. I learned a lot of new things and even got a chance to get a little dirty.

You don't see this too often when watching ESPN. I feel bad for that camera tech. I bet he gets an ear full.

Its that time of year again. The time when I neglect my family and friends to go watch giant trucks crush cars and school buses. Last year was a great year for me because I went to 14 shows and met a lot of cool friends, track crew, and monster truck drivers.
This year I will be hitting up 20 shows and hopefully helping out at some of them. First stop is in Columbus, OH on January 6th and 7th. If you want to checkout some monster truck action locally they will be coming to Wheeling the last weekend of February. In fact we are getting 3 world champions this year (Monster Mutt, Batman, and Virginia Giant).
